AIxPH: 1st Annual Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Public Health

Artificial intelligence has the potential to disrupt every aspect of our lives. Proponents claim it will advance new cures for deadly diseases, clean energy, and an age of abundance. Critics warn of the environmental consequences of data centers, harm from unethical applications, and mass unemployment. AIxPH is a first-of-its-kind convening for 'pro-health' organizations to examine the impacts of AI on the public's health, and how public health organizations might harness its power and mitigate negative impacts. Join public health practitioners, technologists, community-based organizations, philanthropists, policy makers, and public health researchers that are charting a course for public health to adopt and prepare for AI. AIxPH 2026 is the first national convening dedicated exclusively to artificial intelligence and public health—designed both to help pro-health organizations responsibly adopt AI and to help them prepare for the broader societal impacts of this technology. AIxPH 2026 welcomes government agencies, nonprofit organizations, universities and industry partners together in one convening to encourage cross-disciplinary connections and idea sharing. AIxPH 2026 seeks to accelerate the ethical, responsible, and effective use of AI in public health practice by: Elevating real-world implementation findings, including instructive failures; Understanding and evaluating the technologies driving predictive, generative, and agentic AI; Engaging community voices and centering public health values in conversations on AI's societal benefits and risks; Navigating opportunities and challenges amid uncertainty, resource constraints and public scrutiny.
