About this conference
Join the AIA Historic Resources Committee (HRC) and an invited panel of experts for a dialogue on "Historic Preservation in an Age of Disruption" at Taliesin West, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and National Historic Landmark nestled in the desert foothills of the McDowell Mountains in Scottsdale, AZ. This biennial event offers an opportunity for dialogue on timely topics facing the historic preservation profession, as well as networking with preservation peers from across the country in the historic spaces and campus of Taliesin West. The AIA HRC 2026 Taliesin Colloquium will examine the field of historic preservation at a time of significant change. Those involved in the stewardship of the built environment must consider and navigate many converging and diverging issues driven by a shift in policy, climate, and the rapid advancement of technology. This gathering will offer a unique opportunity for attendees to take part in a timely conversation about the rapidly evolving challenges and opportunities inherent in this moment.
