About this conference
AI is transforming the environment where students learn and prepare for their future. Educational leaders must integrate AI literacy into existing K--12 instruction rather than treating it as a separate subject. Our goal is to help students develop the habits necessary to use AI ethically and responsibly. Students need a mix of evergreen skills, such as critical thinking and metacognition, along with new abilities for interacting with AI systems. Educators should engage with current research, instructional routines, and planning tools to support this learning. These approaches should be tailored to specific grade bands, including K--2, 3--5, 6--8, and 9--12, and can include both tech-free and technology-based strategies. By using practical classroom resources, teachers can better prepare students for an AI-powered world.
