About this conference
The ACTEM 2026 Fall Conference, themed 'Authentically ME - focusing on the vital role of identity & voice in the digital age', is the largest educational technology event in Maine. This two-day conference features over 100 opportunities to learn from educators and exhibitors using technology to purposefully and intentionally support learning communities. Participants will leave empowered to leverage new and existing technology innovations to meet their educational goals. The conference typically brings together over 500 attendees, features 80+ workshop sessions, and 30+ exhibitors, targeting teachers, technology staff, librarians, administrators, and all Maine educators. Program highlights include keynote speakers Dr. Damian Bebell and Chris Lehmann, featured authors, a Board Game Night, the 5th Annual After Hours Event with Carl Hooker, the Annual METDA Meeting, a Maine School Libraries Association Strand, student-led sessions, and a dedicated slate of sessions from the Maine Department of Education's Learning Through Technology Team covering topics like AI, technology use in schools, cell phone restrictions, digital dilemmas, coding, digital citizenship, and elementary school support programs.
