The ACSLHE's 2026 conference, titled "Disrupt, Connect, Thrive: An Approach to Chaplaincy in a Tumultuous World," is designed for chaplains who are present to people enduring a tumultuous world. The conference will address elements of disruption, connection with colleagues, and personal thriving within the chaplaincy profession. Attendees can expect workshops, keynote speakers, dedicated time for networking with colleagues, excursions around Chicago, and other engaging activities. Each year, ACSLHE hosts an engaging conference featuring exceptional keynote speakers, including authors, poets, educational leaders, advocates, and activists who inspire and address issues relevant to chaplaincy in higher education. The purpose of this conference is the continued growth and education of ACSLHE members regarding current trends and challenges in higher education chaplaincy. This annual event offers participants the opportunity to learn from each other through concurrent sessions and workshops that provide practical and pertinent tools for broadening their impact with students and across campus. Networking among colleagues aims to provide a sense of renewal and access to meaningful resources, care, and support. The conference also supports the experience of religious/spiritual settings for diverse chaplaincy programs.
