About this conference
This annual meeting brings together the Council on Active Transportation and the Committee on Planning to address issues related to human-powered and micromobility travel, including walking and bicycling, with or without the use of mobility aids. The Council on Active Transportation focuses on raising cross-disciplinary, multimodal, emerging, and priority issues, and provides direction for technical documents and research. The Committee on Planning contributes to various aspects of transportation planning. The agenda includes topics such as local walk audits, data needs and collection methods for active transportation, multimodal network planning and connectivity, measuring project impacts from planning to implementation, DOT and local partner collaboration, organizational realignment to embed active transportation, planning and programming to support active transportation, research discussions ('Research Rapidfire'), census transportation planning products, planning for tomorrow's safe and active communities, and freight and modal interactions. Business meetings for both the Council on Active Transportation (CAT) and Committee on Planning (COP) are also part of the program.
