The 57th Annual Central West Texas Regional School, hosted by the Texas Water Utilities Association (TWUA), is an educational conference focusing on critical aspects of water and wastewater utility operations. The curriculum includes dedicated Water Courses (Basic Water, Water Distribution, Groundwater Production, Surface Water Production I & II, Water Laboratory), Wastewater Courses (Basic Wastewater, Wastewater Collection, Wastewater Treatment, Wastewater Laboratory), and integrated Water & Wastewater Courses (Utility Management, Utility Safety, Cross-Connection Control/Customer Service Inspection - CCC/CSI). Surface Water Production I is a 24-hour course commencing at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 4, 2026, with a class size limited to 20 participants. All other courses are 20 hours in length and begin at 8:00 am on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. Enrollment for laboratory courses is capped at 12 students. The event also features a 'Best Tasting Water Contest' for systems serving under 10,000 persons and over 10,000 persons, and a Golf Tournament on Monday, May 4, 2026.
