4th annual Pluralistic Education Conference

Please join us at Princeton University Carl A. Fields Center for our 4th annual Pluralistic Education Conference in October 2026. The conference aims to teach about Black, Asian American, Latine, Indigenous, and LGBTQ history, and the history of solidarity in civil rights struggles. It focuses on transforming New Jersey's K-12 curriculum to reflect the rich diversity of public schools, ensuring students learn from accurate, engaging, and equitable materials. In-person seats are reserved for educators, and virtual attendance is open to all. The program includes keynote addresses from Laura Zhang-Choi (The E Pluribus Unum Project), Dr. Venkat Ramaprasad (Heartfirst), and Dr. Kim Pinckney (NJEA Consortium). Workshops will cover topics such as 'Toward a Pluralistic Approach to Teaching and Learning,' 'Integrating AAPI Studies in the Classroom,' 'Native Women and Allies Speak: What We Weren't Taught in School,' 'Integrating Latine American History into the K-12 Social Studies Curriculum,' 'How to foster difficult conversations in the classroom,' and 'Spirit and Intent: LGBTQIA+ Inclusive Content in the Classroom.'
