34th Annual PA Hazmat Training & Education Conference

The Pennsylvania Association of Hazardous Materials Technicians' annual conference focuses on providing professional representation and a coordinated voice for communities and residents, promoting training and quality service to HazMat Technicians to minimize loss of life, property, and the environment. This training and learning conference is a hybrid of hands-on sessions, classroom instruction, round table discussions, and product vendor networking. Attendees can expect nationally recognized trainers and instructors providing the latest case studies and response nuances relevant to street-level response. Past events have included equipment and apparatus displays, live flaring and explosives demonstrations, high-pressure vessel and reactive substance leak control and containment, decontamination, and live waterborne spill response evolutions. The conference also offers PA Fire Commission sponsored National Pro-Board certificate training. Representatives from NFPA, NIOSH, ASTM, ACGIH, TRANSCAER, CHLORINE INSTITUTE, and other associations and agencies participate regularly. For 2026, the conference offers different training tracks including Radiological, Transportation, General, and Vendor.
