About this conference
The 2nd annual Lowcountry Resilience Conference, hosted by the Beaufort Regional Civil Engineers Club, the Lowcountry Branch of the American Public Works Association, and SC Lowcountry Sentinel Landscape, will bring together professionals and leaders from across the public, private, academic, and non-profit sectors. Building on the momentum of its first year, the conference aims to explore the challenges and opportunities across infrastructure and engineering, community planning, natural systems, emergency preparedness, and other areas of resilience. It will also foster collaboration and showcase innovative projects, research, and strategies that strengthen coastal communities. Key topic areas include green stormwater infrastructure, sea level rise, and climate adaptation. The event spans two main days, October 29-30, 2026, and will feature a mix of distinguished speakers, plenary discussions, and concurrent breakout sessions. An optional field trip is scheduled for the afternoon of October 28. Lunch will be provided on both main conference days.
