About this conference
Local and state leaders are invited to join the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources for the 2nd annual Government to Government Workshop. This event is designed to strengthen intergovernmental coordination across local, county, and state agencies. Participants will discuss communication protocols, points of contact, and procedures to follow before, during, and after flooding events to enhance community preparedness and response. The workshop will convene mayors, trustees, and other municipal, county, and state representatives. Other participating agencies include representatives from the IL Dept. of Public Health, IL EPA, IL Dept. of Insurance, IL Emergency Management Agency, and Cook County Emergency Management.
