2027 National ICAT Conference

PERF is pleased to announce that its fifth annual national ICAT conference and recertification event will take place February 11–12, 2027, at the Marriott Clearwater Beach Sand Key in Clearwater Beach, Florida. This conference and recertification are designed for all agencies and all instructors, encouraging all ICAT trainers to attend for the latest curriculum and to learn about the right way to deliver new material to their students. ICAT has changed considerably over the years, with three new modules added since the original curriculum was developed. PERF will recertify officers who have previously attended an ICAT training session held by PERF, providing them with an updated training certificate. Attendees will leave with a two-hour block of in-service presentation and a training guide to ensure agencies are continuing education in ICAT for their organization. ICAT is an innovative, evidence-based approach to use-of-force training, providing first responding police officers with the tools, skills, and options needed to defuse a range of critical incidents successfully and safely.
