2027 HAIS Leadership Summit

This year's HAIS Leadership Summit is set to take place on Friday, February 12, 2027, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a reception to follow. The day will feature Futurist Thinking Charrette: Imagining the Future of Education. This event will convene leadership teams and trustees from HAIS member schools to explore legal considerations, strengthen governance, and develop agile, mission-centered strategies for navigating today's complex and evolving landscape. Attendees will join fellow school leaders, administrators, and trustees for an engaging, interactive workshop exploring how futurist thinking can help schools anticipate emerging trends, navigate uncertainty, and shape the future of education. Through creative exercises and collaborative discussions, participants will explore possibilities for the next 10–20 years. Participants will leave with practical tools and strategies to identify emerging trends, facilitate future-focused conversations with their boards and leadership teams, and apply futurist thinking to long-term strategic planning. They will also gain a framework for engaging their school communities to envision and proactively shape a positive future. The program includes keynote speakers and afternoon breakout sessions.
