2027 Center for Neural Circuit Mapping (CNCM) Annual Conference: Genes to Systems: Understanding the Brain and Disease

The 2027 Center for Neural Circuit Mapping (CNCM) Annual Conference, entitled ‘Genes to Systems: Understanding the Brain and Disease,’ will be held August 16–18, 2027, in Irvine, California. This conference will bring together leading investigators from across disciplines to explore how genetic, cellular, spatial, and circuit-level mechanisms shape brain function and contribute to neurological and psychiatric disease. Scientific discussions will span neurodevelopmental, neurodegenerative, and neuropsychiatric disorders, with a strong emphasis on integrative, technology-driven approaches that bridge molecular insights to circuit- and systems-level understanding. The 2027 conference is led by Dr. Xiaowei Zhuang, in collaboration with Drs. Bing Ren and Xiangmin Xu. The program will feature six timely and highly impactful scientific sessions: Cell Types and Genomics; Neurodevelopment & Autism Spectrum Disorders; Neural Circuit Mapping; Neuroimmune Interface; Neurodegeneration & Neuropsychiatric Conditions; and Disease Models and Treatment. Together, these sessions will highlight cutting-edge advances and foster interdisciplinary dialogue aimed at advancing our understanding of brain function in health and disease.
