About this conference
The YMCA National Changemakers Summit is a 3-day conference hosted by YMCA of the USA, focusing on youth civic engagement and community development. High school students (grades 9-11) form teams of two project leaders to propose projects that address critical issues or needs within their local communities. Selected teams attend the summit to present their proposals to other changemakers. Three winning teams receive $5,000 in funding to implement their projects. Travel, lodging, and conference registration costs for the selected project leaders and YMCA Staff chaperones are fully covered.
