About this conference
The 2026 WABE Annual Conference will be held in Yakima, WA. The event will feature expert speakers, networking opportunities, and learning opportunities focused on multilingual students. The mission of the Washington Association for Bilingual Education (WABE) is to promote bilingual education and asset-based mindsets, practices, and educational systems that support the success of multilingual students. The conference will include sessions on topics such as equitably collaborating with multilingual families to transform student learning and wellbeing, brilliant teaching in linguistically and culturally diverse populations, uniting with families of multilingual learners in purpose, and strategies for increasing linguistic and academic success in every lesson.
