About this conference
The Virginia Emergency Management Symposium (VEMS) is an annual event, co-sponsored by the Virginia Emergency Management Association and the Virginia Department of Emergency Management. It provides a forum to discuss current trends and topics and share information about the latest practices, tools, and technology in emergency management and homeland security. Sessions encourage stakeholders at all levels of government, the private sector, public health and related professions to exchange ideas and collaborate to protect lives and property from disaster.

The Virginia Emergency Management Association (VEMA) offers a comprehensive 2025-2026 Sponsorship Program for the Virginia Emergency Management Symposium (VEMS), held March 16-19, 2026. Sponsorship levels include Bronze ($2,000), Silver ($4,000), Gold ($5,000), and Diamond ($6,000), each offering additional and exclusive benefits such as newsletter ads, website recognition, signage, logo placement in general session slides, advanced attendee lists, CEO spotlight articles, social media posts, symposium program app advertisements, complimentary VEMS registrations, email blasts, promotional speaking time, and participation in the vendor hall grand opening. Individual sponsorship items are also available, covering scholarships (Gordon Barwell, Grace Tressler, Addison Slayton), various advertisement types (newsletter, social media, email blasts), professional development session sponsorships, exhibitor booths (standard, deluxe, premium, many sold out as of Feb 10), swag items (bags, giveaways, challenge coins, hotel keycards), and event sponsorships (Caucus events, WiFi, business meetings, networking events, refreshment breaks, vendor hall reception, and meal sponsorships for breakfast, lunch, and Wednesday night social). Keynote speaker sponsorship is also available. All sponsorship items must be paid in full prior to VEMA fulfilling obligations. Cancellations are subject to administrative fees and specific deadlines.
