About this conference
The Montana Academic Library Symposium is a biennial event for librarians, educators, and information professionals in Montana and the surrounding region. Its primary goal is to provide a platform for sharing knowledge, discussing trends, and exploring best practices in academic librarianship. The 2026 symposium will be hosted from May 20-22, 2026, at Carroll College in Helena, Montana. TRAILS and Carroll College welcome library and higher education professionals from across Montana to gather, share, and connect. The theme for this year is 'Libraries in the Age of (Mis)Information', with sessions related to Academic and Intellectual Freedom, Artificial Intelligence and Technology, Library Operations and Services, Public Policy and Libraries, and Tribal Colleges and Universities.
