2026 Spring Seminar

The 2026 Spring Seminar, organized by the New England States Government Finance Officers Association (NESGFOA), is an event for state and local finance officials and private sector professionals to collaborate and share solutions on common issues. While the agenda is currently under development, past seminars have focused on critical topics relevant to government finance, including economic updates, legislative changes, budgeting strategies, fraud prevention, investment management, pension metrics, workforce challenges, GASB standards, federal funding, and compliance (e.g., ARPA, IIJA, SLFRF). A potential speaker for 2026 includes Robert Doherty of Verbal Judo Associates, who will lecture on verbally disarming people. The seminar serves as a platform for training and updates on pertinent government finance matters.
