About this conference
A two-day statewide summit hosted by the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) Nevada State Office of Rural Health (SORH) and partners, in celebration of National Rural Health Day. The summit aims to strengthen rural health in Nevada, featuring presentations from health leaders and public health experts, interactive exhibitor spaces, vibrant poster sessions showcasing research and projects from professionals and students, and networking opportunities. It also includes a celebratory dinner honoring rural champions and recognizing Nevada's 2026 Community Star and NV SORH Rising Star Awards. The theme for 2026 is "Rural Ready Nevada", highlighting the resilience and innovation of rural communities. It is an opportunity for seasoned rural health professionals, community partners, students, and organizations to connect, collaborate, and celebrate the "Power of Rural."
