About this conference

As development pressure intensifies on its working lands, Oklahoma is facing more difficult either/or land use decisions. Dual-use solar farming---known as "agrivoltaics" or AgPV---integrates solar with agriculture to gain in field performance advantages for both livestock, crops, and/or conservation. Integrated "ecovoltaics" projects incorporate ecological best practices to supercharge conservation performance. Oklahoma's ongoing economic growth is creating new opportunities on and off the farm---and energy growing pains. Adaptable and scalable, AgPV-enabled solar farms stack electricity harvesting with traditional agricultural production with large positive ripple effects on local farm economies. The inaugural Oklahoma Solar Summit is rallying ranchers, farmers, landowners, community leaders, and an interdisciplinary group of private sector professionals together to talk plainly about how solar power could and should fit onto Oklahoma's working lands, and how it should not. Join us at the Oklahoma Solar Summit in Stillwater to plug into Oklahoma's ongoing farming + solar discussion, a robust educational program building from the basics on up, and exceptional networking opportunities alongside leading agrivoltaics professionals from across the country as well as Oklahoma's best and brightest in energy and agriculture! This agriculture-first gathering is laser-focused on how solar development intersects with working lands and impacts local farms, ranches, water resources, ecosystems, and long-term land stewardship, aiming to collaboratively build a practical framework for AgPV development in Oklahoma that supports both vibrant agricultural growth and homegrown energy abundance.

Sponsorship options

Select opportunities to join the Oklahoma Solar Summit (OKSS) campaign and directly support its catalytic ambitions with sponsorship or in-kind contributions are available. Limited sponsor placement ensures an intimate experience for attendees and an organic, low-pressure atmosphere for communication and professional cross-pollination. Collaboration with like-minded, like-mission organizations is essential to nurturing Oklahoma's homegrown agrivoltaics development momentum. Interested parties are encouraged to contact the organizers to explore opportunities to participate as a sponsor or work collaboratively to provide farming + solar education, activate direct interdisciplinary learning, and catalyze stakeholders curious about the agrivoltaics opportunity.
