2026 OABE Winter Conference

The 2026 OABE Winter Conference, titled 'Raíces y Alas: Cultivating Justice Through Multilingualism,' is organized by the Oregon Association for Bilingual Education. This conference is dedicated to promoting Dual Language Bilingual Education and fostering equitable education for bilingual and multicultural students within Oregon's schools and other educational institutions. The event, spanning February 20-21, 2026, encompasses several distinct programs. These include a virtual workshop for high school students focused on scholarships, school visits to K-12 dual language schools, a leadership reception for dual language and school district leaders, a one-day institute offering insights into best practices and program advancement from educational advocates, and a parent strand designed to inspire and empower bilingual families, particularly Spanish speakers, in embracing multilingualism and leadership.
