2026 New York State Highway Safety Symposium

SAVE THE DATE! This annual symposium unites safety professionals and stakeholders, including law enforcement, traffic engineers, policymakers, public health officials, and community organizations. The event is organized and sponsored by the NYS Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee, the NYS Association of Traffic Safety Boards, the NYS STOP-DWI Association, Inc., and the New York State Police. This year's theme is "Traffic Safety Never Goes Out of Style". The symposium brings together highway safety professionals from across New York State to share, promote, and educate on highway safety initiatives with workshops and presentations covering the most critical issues and best practices from leading experts in traffic safety. Please note that this year and continuing each year thereafter, the NYS Highway Safety Symposium is merging with the Empire State Law Enforcement Traffic Safety (ESLETS) Conference, a similar conference serving many of the same stakeholders. The two forums coming together will allow us to streamline our efforts while strengthening the communities we serve.
