About this conference
CTA is proud to present the 18th annual CTA conference addressing LGBTQ+ issues involving educators, students and the community. The conference is open to all CTA members and takes place at the San Francisco Airport Marriott Waterfront in Burlingame on November 6-8, 2026. This year's theme is The Time is Now: Empowering our Community with Knowledge and Love. Inspired by Audre Lorde's words, this year's LGBTQ+ Issues Conference invites participants to consider what's possible and necessary to cultivate safe spaces of resilience, strength, and unity. Sessions will foster liberatory learning communities for LGBTQ+ peoples and co-conspirators; heighten awareness and advocacy around anti-LGBTQ+ policies; as well as strengthen organizing skills across school districts and local chapters.
