About this conference
This is the second annual Legal Philosophy and Constitutional Theory Junior Scholar Conference. It is open to aspiring academics or junior scholars who have been in a tenure-track position (or its equivalent) for no more than 10 years. Papers should focus on issues at the intersection of legal philosophy and constitutional theory. Selected scholars will receive dedicated commentary from a senior scholar in their field, travel expenses for the conference, and a $1,500 honorarium. Interested scholars are required to submit a detailed proposal of at least 2,000 words outlining the planned article, or a complete draft article, along with a CV. Draft papers will be due by February 19th, 2026. Published articles and those in the process of publication are not eligible. The conference is co-hosted by the Georgetown Institute for the Study of Markets and Ethics and the Georgetown Center for the Constitution, aiming to provide a platform for sharing research, receiving guidance, and networking with fellow scholars.
