The 2026 LAPERS Annual Seminar is designed to provide essential educational hours and a forum for trustees and staff of Louisiana's public retirement boards and systems. Attendees will exchange information, ideas, and experiences, monitor state and federal legislative activities, and enhance public pension fund management and administration. The seminar features keynote addresses, breakout workshops, and panels covering critical topics such as pension funding and law, investment strategies, actuarial valuations, cybersecurity, benefits administration, cost control, risk management for public pensions, funding policies, liability management, legal and regulatory compliance, governance for trustees and administrators, and member engagement. Specific educational hours are offered in Laws, Rules and Regulations; Fiduciary Duty; Governmental Ethics; Actuarial Science; and Investments, including a panel on Securities Litigation: Public Pension Strategy to Address Current Trends.
