2026 KEMA Conference

The 2026 Kansas Emergency Management Association's annual training conference is scheduled in-person for September 1-3, 2026, at the Hilton Garden Inn, Manhattan, with pre-conference training on Monday, August 31st. The conference serves as a platform for emergency management professionals to share and learn about various aspects of the field. Attendees can expect sessions on topics such as emergency management during pandemics, preparing for large events, weather-related incidents, lessons learned from past emergencies, cybersecurity for emergency managers, partnerships, grant opportunities, legal liabilities, EM training sessions, the expanding role of EMs in resilience, incident management and support, wilderness medicine/response, technology in emergency management (e.g., WebEOC, UAS), IDSS support for EMs, and community emergency training. The event invites interested individuals to submit proposals for presentations, including general sessions, breakout sessions, and panel discussions.
