2026 Fire Chief's Resource Symposium

The annual Fire Chief's Resource Symposium is a two-day program designed to provide Fire Chiefs with a comprehensive toolbox of information, resources, and contacts. The symposium aims to establish a solid foundation for operating a successful fire department and offers an opportunity to connect with the Ohio Fire Chiefs' Association and the Ohio Fire & Emergency Services Foundation, along with their various services and benefits. Key modules covered include Legal Issues, Ethics, Working with Elected Officials, Responding to the Press, Budget & Finance, Data Collection & Usage, MARCS & Emergency Response Plan, State Fire Marshal and Emergency Medical Fire and Transportation Services, Resources of the OFCA & Professional Development, and 'How to Get Fired & Roundtable Discussion'. The event takes place alongside the Annual OFCA Board Retreat, facilitating mentor-like relationships with OFCA Board members and enhancing networking among peers from across the region.
