About this conference

Come participate in the dynamic mix of award-winning investigators and the Eastern District of North Carolina’s top prosecutors who will train law enforcement officers from all across Eastern North Carolina to develop and prosecute real deal federal cases against drug traffickers, violent offenders, illegal aliens, and organized criminal groups. The attached agenda details the topics, including Do’s and Don’ts of Building a Federal Case, Financial Investigations/Money Laundering, Legal Writing for Law Enforcement, Case Studies on Investigations of a Drug Trafficking Organization and Violent Street Gangs, A View of Trials from a Federal Judge’s Perspective featuring The Honorable Terrence W. Boyle, a keynote speech from Forensic Expert Kenny Kinsey, and more! The conference will be held at the McKimmon Conference and Training Center at NC State University, a premier training facility. This conference offers new material for both OCDETF conference alumni and first-time attendees, with a focus on building investigations for federal crimes and winning at trial in front of a federal judge. We encourage Sheriffs and Police Chiefs to attend with their narcotics team, gang team, officers, and deputies. We also welcome Assistant District Attorneys who are fast partners in this struggle for justice and making our communities safe.
