2026 Fall States Leading Network Convening

The Council of Chief State School Officers' (CCSSO) States Leading Network (SLN) will come together for two days of peer exchange and collaborative problem-solving. As states navigate a dynamic policy and funding landscape, teams will work through shared challenges on topics such as assessment results, federal policy and funding, and use consultancies and peer feedback to sharpen the plans they are building to improve math and literacy outcomes. Teams will leave with concrete next steps to reach every classroom. Objectives: Advance state defined priorities: States will present their long-term plans for peer review and feedback to strengthen their approaches to math and literacy instruction. Gain insights to navigate a dynamic education landscape: States will learn how to make the most of federal funds to advance their academic priorities. Leverage assessment results to drive impact: States will unpack assessment results and explore how they guide state goal-setting and communications.
