2026 Fall Judges Conference

The Fall Conference, organized by the Louisiana Judicial College, provides judges with high quality, comprehensive, and relevant professional development and training. It focuses on ensuring the timely, fair, impartial, and efficient administration of justice for all citizens of Louisiana. The conference typically includes programming on various legal topics relevant to judges, legislative updates, recent developments, new post-conviction relief procedures, competency and sanity hearings, insights on noncitizens in state courts, domestic violence and trauma-informed courts, city court updates, and family services related to truancy and community collaboration. Attendees can expect a blend of educational sessions, legislative and jurisprudential updates, and discussions on best practices for judicial administration.
