About this conference
Premier Technical Training for the Fire Mechanic, Firefighter, and Fleet Professional. This Fall Academy provides additional educational opportunities for Emergency Vehicle Technicians (EVTs) beyond the annual Spring Academy. It offers a limited number of classes in Southern California, intended to help students pursue or expedite their California State Fire Mechanic Certification. The curriculum includes certification courses for EVT-1A Emergency Vehicle Systems, EVT-1C Pumps & Accessories, EVT-3A Fleet Specs/Records/HR, EVT-1B Electrical Systems A, EVT-2A Electrical Systems B, as well as courses like FF-501 Knowing Your Apparatus, FF-506 Commanding the Pump Panel, and FM-229D Cummins X12. Not all classes are certification classes, and some Firefighter-based classes are offered. The California Fire Mechanics Academy (CFMA) is dedicated to the education, professional development, and technical certification of emergency apparatus technicians and fire service mechanics.
