About this conference
Join more than 1,000 public power professionals from across the West for the region's largest electric utility event, held at the Oregon Convention Center. Over three days, attendees will gain practical insights from 26 breakout sessions, explore the latest products and innovations with more than 250 exhibitors, and connect with peers from utilities across the Western U.S. The event focuses on strengthening skills, earning continuing education credits, and experiencing the energy of the industry through live equipment displays, networking events, and hands-on pre-conference workshops. Centered on the theme "Building Our Legacy," this conference will celebrate the people, practices, and innovations that strengthen a shared commitment to safety, reliability, and service. As the industry evolves through new technologies and emerging challenges, the 2026 E&O will provide learning and networking opportunities to ensure public power’s legacy remains strong for generations to come. Over 250 exhibitors will showcase everything from high-voltage equipment and emerging technologies to consulting and engineering services, offering the latest tools, products, and solutions that strengthen utility operations and reliability. Keynote speakers include reliability and safety expert Jake Mazulewicz, Ph.D., and Sunny Wescott, chief meteorologist for the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. Public power’s legacy is built on collaboration, and the conference offers chances to reconnect with colleagues, forge new professional relationships, and celebrate safety and career achievements at the awards banquet.
