About this conference
The 2026 ECOS Spring Meeting, organized by the Environmental Council of the States (ECOS), a national nonprofit, nonpartisan association of state and territorial environmental agency leaders, focuses on the "Environment-Economy Nexus." The conference will explore how to balance environmental protection with economic development, featuring sessions on critical topics such as wetlands protection, air permitting, PFAS and land cleanup, and the application of artificial intelligence (AI). An interactive Shark Tank session on water reuse is also planned. The meeting is jointly hosted by the ECOS member agencies in Georgia and South Carolina.
