2026 Coastal Bend Landscape Conference

This annual conference, hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, highlights strategies and practices for sustainable landscaping amidst rising heat and drought in South Texas. It focuses on practical, science-based solutions for creating drought-resilient, water-efficient, and sustainable landscapes. Attendees will gain insights on updated pesticide regulations, xeriscaping principles, smart irrigation practices, turfgrass and pest management, palm care during extreme weather, water-harvesting techniques, and the use of native plants to improve landscape durability. The event is designed for landscape professionals, pesticide applicators, horticulture enthusiasts, and homeowners seeking research-based solutions for managing landscapes in drought-prone environments. Horticulture/Landscape professionals can receive up to 5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) towards their pesticide license, including 1 Law and Regulations, 3 General, and 1 Integrated Pest Management CEU.
