About this conference
City clerks play an integral role, bridging city hall with the council, community, and fellow city staff. This blended learning program combines on-demand, online coursework with two days of in-person learning and networking to explore current issues, challenges, and legal requirements that will help new city clerks and deputy clerks navigate their complex role. Topics include financial fundamentals, human resources essentials, open meeting law, data practices, cybersecurity, code enforcement, filling council vacancies, elections administration, risk management, and interpersonal communication.
