2026 CFMA Annual Conference

The 2026 Annual Conference of the Connecticut Fire Marshals Association (CFMA) is a two-day event dedicated to providing comprehensive education and updates for fire safety professionals. The program features classes on a diverse range of topics including the use of therapy dogs in youth firesetter interviews, hoarding issues, NFPA 99 hyperbaric chambers, explosion prevention standards (NFPA 68-69, 660, 855, and 30B), Community Risk Reduction (CRR) initiatives, updates from the Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM), significant changes in the 2026 Fire Safety and Fire Prevention Codes (CFSC, CFPC, and Chapter 11), inspection issues for new/existing board and care facilities and operations of the Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and an overview of the National Fire Incident Reporting System (NERIS) with incident reporting Q&A. Attendees are eligible to receive 15 hours of credit approved by the Office of Emergency Management (OEDM).
