About this conference
The Central Florida Prescribed Fire Council (CFPFC) Annual Meeting brings together interagency wildland firefighters and land managers to share experiences, knowledge, and best practices in the prescribed fire community. The 2026 meeting will feature presentations by fire experts, equipment demonstrations, sponsor booths, and raffle prizes. Lunch will be provided. The meeting is designed to meet Florida Forest Service education requirements for Florida Certified Burn Managers and offers Society of American Foresters (SAF) Continuing Forestry Education (CFE) credit. This educational event aims to reduce liabilities and foster best management practices for Florida's fire-dependent ecosystems, emphasizing the proper and cohesive use of prescribed fire.
