About this conference
The 2026 Annual Conference of the Community Development Society, themed "Community Currents: Navigating Change Together," explores how communities harness collaborative energy to navigate challenges and opportunities. Building on the revised Community Development Principles of Good Practice, the conference focuses on how community development practitioners help communities navigate generational partnerships, chart cross-sector pathways, harness cultural energy, connect across rural-urban divides, and balance preservation and progress. It emphasizes understanding the flow of change and working with community assets and partnerships. The event will feature mobile learning workshops, networking receptions, an awards banquet, and an annual business meeting. Concurrent sessions will include paper presentations, program and project showcases, interactive workshops, and roundtable discussions.
Sponsorship options
Sponsorship opportunities are available at four levels: Bronze ($500-$999), Silver ($1,000-$2,499), Gold ($2,500-$4,999), and Platinum ($5,000+). Sponsorship funds help to defray costs associated with keynote speakers and receptions, including the Welcome Reception, the CDS Awards Banquet, and a Community Reception event.
