2026 CDPH Lead & Healthy Homes Conference

The Chicago Department of Public Health Lead & Healthy Homes Program is proud to host the 2026 Lead & Healthy Homes Conference at Malcolm X College on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 8 am--4 pm. This conference will bring together healthcare professionals, contractors, community organizations, educators, government agencies, housing partners, and residents to strengthen collaboration around lead poisoning prevention, healthy homes education, environmental health, asthma reduction, and home remediation efforts across Chicago. Attendees will participate in educational sessions, resource sharing, networking opportunities, and discussions focused on improving health outcomes for Chicago families and communities. The conference theme is: One Chi, One Team, One Goal: Lead Awareness + Testing + Healthy Homes Remediation. Conference goals include increasing awareness of childhood lead poisoning prevention, promoting healthy homes education and remediation resources, strengthening partnerships between healthcare, housing, education, and community organizations, supporting workforce and contractor engagement, and highlighting collaborative strategies that improve health outcomes across Chicago communities.
