About this conference
The 2026 CA2RS Fall Conference will feature two and a half days of dedicated video analysis training for accident reconstruction. Sessions will cover a wide variety of topics including basic video theory, techniques for proper forensic video recovery, and methodologies for analyzing vehicle position, speed, and acceleration from video. Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops as there will be some hands-on exercises. There will be a mixture of technical sessions and case examples designed to give attendees theoretical and practical knowledge for crash investigations involving video evidence. Topics include: Basics of video compression Frame-level metadata and frame timing DVR interrogation and video extraction techniques Video of video Photogrammetry for static and moving cameras Calculating position, speed, and acceleration from video. We are excited to announce the four co-presenters with a breadth of technical experience in video analysis.
