About this conference
The Michigan Association of Administrators of Special Education (MAASE) Annual Summer Institute is a premier event for special education leaders in Michigan. Each year, over 800 special educators, including directors, supervisors, and leaders from local districts, Intermediate School Districts (ISDs)/Regional Educational Service Agencies (RESAs), the Michigan Department of Education, and colleges/universities, convene to engage in leadership development and shared learning on topics critical to the field of special education. The conference features a keynote speaker (Jimmy Casas), updates from the Michigan Department of Education Office of Special Education, attorney presentations, numerous breakout sessions, and appearances from national associations like the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) and the Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE). The event includes awards and various networking opportunities such as a golf outing and hospitality receptions. Participants will leave feeling energized, engaged, and equipped with new tools for success for the upcoming school year.

Partnership opportunities are available at Bronze ($1,500), Silver ($3,000), Gold ($4,000), and Platinum ($5,500) levels, offering various benefits such as MAASE guest membership, opportunity to present, e-blasts to attendees, speaking opportunities, marketing inclusions in welcome materials, feature articles in newsletters, educational resource distribution, logo placement on banners and digital platforms, recognition in pre-conference emails and event signage, and all-access conference registrations.
