2025-26 Leadership Academy Convening 6

Convening #6 for the 2025-26 Cohort of the MCCA Leadership Academy Fellows. The Leadership Academy is a beacon of professional development in the community college sector, dedicated to fostering the growth of emerging leaders throughout Michigan. This hands-on, Michigan-specific program is carefully curated to build a robust pipeline of adept leaders capable of steering community colleges toward a future marked by excellence and innovation. Through a series of live sessions, action-based learning projects, and experiential activities, participants undergo a transformative learning journey. The curriculum covers topics necessary to be an effective community college leader, including defining student success and data-driven approaches, improving labor market outcomes, transfer, teaching & learning practices, redesigning the student experience, strategic finance, policy, advocacy, leadership qualities for senior staff, and leading internal transformational change and effective external strategic partnerships.
