About this conference

Join us for the 18th Annual Higher Education Summit at the beautiful Innisbrook Resort & Spa in Palm Harbor, Florida, June 6â€"9, 2027. Get ready to connect, learn, collaborate, and recharge with colleagues from across the regionâ€"all while enjoying a world-class resort experience. Mark your calendars and start planning for an unforgettable few days of professional development, networking, and fun in the Florida sunshine! We can't wait to see you in Palm Harbor! The FACRAO Executive Committee is committed to affording members the opportunity to connect and network face-to-face! Student success is not just the responsibility of an individual or a single department. It takes the commitment and careful planning of every department from admissions to registration and everyone in-between. While many of us have our own departmental functions and objectives, ultimately everything we do contributes to the success of our students. Our focus this year will be to tie together the strategies and lessons learned from past summits and to dive deep into how each one of us play an important role in student success. A recent AACRAO article reminds of the benefits of presenting, which provides an opportunity to: Share knowledge, experiences, and recent developments in your field; Collaborate with colleagues on best practices and research; Advocate for your profession; Hone your presentation skills; Develop professional contacts; Contribute to the overall success of the meeting. Start thinking about how you can make a significant contribution to your profession by presenting alongside your colleagues. We look forward to receiving your session proposals! We know that training budgets can be tight and that getting approval to attend conferences isn’t always easy â€" but we’re here to help. Attendees consistently find that the $300 conference registration fee delivers outstanding value. By participating in the Summit, you’ll gain access to professional development sessions, best practices, and innovative strategies that strengthen your work in higher education. You’ll also enjoy the opportunity to network with colleagues from colleges and universities across the state of Florida, building connections that foster collaboration long after the event ends. To make things easier, we’ve provided a justification letter template you can customize and share with your supervisor to highlight the benefits of attending this year’s event. Follow us on X (Twitter) @FACRAO to stay up to date on all things FACRAO and to receive further information.
