Removal of a culvert restricting fish passage, the restoration of the creek channel, and the construction of a new bridge to access properties previously served by the roadway over the culvert. The existing 48" dia. Corrugated metal culvert is approx. 26' in length. A scour pool has developed on both ends of the culvert. The selected contractor will remove the culvert, fill the scour pools with materials specified in the construction documents, restore the stream bed by removing fill placed during the culvert installation and placing new clean material in accordance with the plans and specifications, and construct the bridge to span the newly restored channel. The new 45' x 14' bridge will consist of a single span from bank to bank of beaver creek. The travelled bridge deck will be a single-lane concrete deck supported by four wide-flange main beams. The main beams will span the width of the creek and bear on cast-in-place concrete abutments bearing below grade, outside of the creek channel. DOT compliant guardrails will border the bridge deck and a new security gate will span the access road leading to the bridge.
