Sun Mountain Ranches Special Road District

The meeting addressed the need to fill the upcoming vacancy for the Board Secretary position at the end of 2025, with a potential candidate to be approached. A letter will be prepared for property owners and a notice posted on NextDoor regarding the secretary position. Bids for snow removal for the upcoming winter were discussed, and ideas for neighborhood gatherings were considered, including a potluck in the spring.

The meeting included discussion and approval of the FY 2025-2026 proposed budget and a resolution adopting it. The board discussed generating interest in the Road District and increasing participation, including ideas such as mailers and holding a meeting in full view of the neighborhood.

The meeting included a review and approval of the Year-Ending Budget for FY 23-24 and the Proposed Budget for FY 24-25. A resolution adopting the Proposed Budget for FY 24-25 was also passed. The board discussed the Paving Project 2024, which Tri-County Paving is scheduled to begin towards the end of June or early July, with the district covering a portion of the cost and the remainder financed by Summit Bank.

The meeting included the approval of minutes from previous meetings. The Treasurer's report was approved, marking the outgoing Treasurer's last meeting and the transition to the new Treasurer. Discussions covered taxes on foreclosed properties, repairs to a tilting stop sign, and the awarding of the snow removal contract to Sisters Fence. The new treasurer was officially recognized.

The meeting included a review of the Fiscal Year budget and expenditures. Colleen is leaving the Treasurer's position at the end of 2024, and Jo Kilmer was accepted as the new Treasurer. The district decided to continue using Excel software for accounting and will purchase it for Jo's computer. Ellen will reach out to Cody Frey for a bid on snow removal.
