Clearing and grubbing, including approx. 31 trees greater than three inches diameter breast height (DBH), removal of two berms, installation of a strategic wood addition on river right upstream of the slope failure utilizing trees removed from the site or brought to the site that measure 20” or greater DBH, cut into logs measuring 44” or longer, installation of a bar buddy utilizing a 30” DBH ash tree located along the riverbank to be removed with its root ball attached, reconnection of an existing overflow channel along river left adjacent to the slope failure and placement of seed and mulch. The bar buddy installation will place approx. 20 cubic yards of woody debris in the river (fifteen of which will be below ordinary high water) and require additional ballasting utilizing the nine cubic yards of substrate excavated to facilitated overflow channel reconnection. The project includes minimal channel regrading.

Removal of the existing 45 LF, 7.5’ corrugated metal pipe arch, 50 LF concrete headwall, 17 LF concrete spillway and stop log structure along Mountain School Road, stream realignment, construction of a 20-FT span, 10-FT tall, and 45-FT long aluminum multi-plate pipe arch, headwalls, and wingwalls, installation of channel bed material, bank rock, log vanes and sills, and buried grade controls, and restoration of natural flow regime to the Cold River.

Removal of the undersized 60” corrugated metal pipe along its buried length on Valley Road, stream realignment and restoration, installation of an 18-FT wide, 5-FT 9-in tall, and 45-FT long aluminum multi-plate pipe arch, headwalls and wingwalls, installation of channel bed material, bank rock and restoration of natural flow regime to Valley Brook.
