San Jacinto Power

This Implementation Plan outlines the City of San Jacinto's strategy to establish San Jacinto Power (SJP), a voluntary Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) program, to provide electric services to its residents and businesses. The plan focuses on achieving cost-competitive electric services, spurring local economic development, and ensuring long-term rate stability through local control. Key areas include establishing an organizational structure, securing funding, managing load forecasts and resource plans with an emphasis on renewable energy and energy efficiency, and defining rate-setting policies and customer rights. The program aims to expand energy choices, promote public participation in energy decisions, and ensure universal access, reliability, and equitable treatment for all customer classes.
