The meeting included financial updates, a discussion and declaration of outdated computer equipment as surplus for auction, and the presentation of the Fiscal Year 2024 audit report. There was also an update on the ladder truck that is on order.

The annual operating budget for the fiscal year 2025-2026 outlines the mission and services of the St. George Fire Protection District, focusing on protecting lives and property through fire prevention and emergency mitigation. Key discussion points include public protection grading, emergency medical care, fire prevention bureau activities, community risk reduction, and public education. The budget also covers accomplishments from 2024-2025, such as adding new class plans, hiring additional firefighters, and placing a new ladder in service, as well as goals for 2025-2026, including staff recruitment, equipment upgrades, and receiving new wildland/floodwater units.

The meetings included financial updates and budget approvals, campus improvement updates, and approvals for the Audit Compliance Questionnaire for FY 2020-2021. The board also discussed a tax election, the selection of The Advocate as the official journal, and a resolution for a special election regarding a four (4) mills ad valorem tax. They approved a resolution authorizing debt and borrowing, and another regarding a Revenue Bond Series 2022. The Fiscal Year 2022-2033 Budget was approved, along with the Audit Engagement Letter with Faulk & Winkler for Fiscal Year 2021-2022. Health & Dental Rates with Humana for 2023 were approved, and a grant from the State of LA was accepted. A resolution was approved authorizing the Fire Chief to act concerning the acquisition of right-of-way for Station 61 property for DOTD.
