The council also discussed filing for receivership of the Lee County Rescue Squad, Pennington Gap Unit, and addressed concerns about abandoned vehicles. The council entered closed sessions to discuss personnel, property acquisition/disposition, prospective business/industry, and legal consultations. The council agreed to an agreement for receivership of the rescue squad, advertise for a public hearing for rezoning, raised the small purchases limit for the Town Manager, execute the lease agreement with Dry Creek, negotiate with two auditors, and implement employee raises.
